HOSPIVAC – MEDIVAC EVISA E25
On the network, HOSPIVAC units are delivered in standard with a network alarm electronic sensor C2V.
For MEDIVAC and Mobile MINIVAC 1 units, this network alarm sensor is available as an option.
Connect the antibacterial filtration inlet to the network using rigid piping or hose. A valve must be fitted
between the hose or the rigid piping and the network (see the mechanical architecture section).
For HOSPIVAC G only
 Connect the antibacterial filtration outlet to the manifold using rigid piping or hose.
 Connect the suction of the vacuum pumps to the network with a hose equipped with a check-valve
located between the manifold and the hose.
 Make pneumatic connections between the electronic cabinet and the regulation sensor C1V and the main
vacuum network using an ø6x8 'Rilsan' pipe. This should be placed as close as possible to the main
receiver.

Exhaust side
The exhaust collector must be connected to a gas evacuation canalization, which leads to the outside of the
building, either via the façade or vertical duct (standard NF EN ISO 7396-1§ 5-7-8).
Beware of rainfall penetration or blockages caused by nests or other obstacles.
For HOSPIVAC G only
 Connect the exhaust from each vacuum pump to the exhaust collector using hose.
 An exhaust vessel must be fitted at the lowest point of the exhaust collector.
 The backflow must be positioned for don't be sucked by another system who can present a risk
(compressor suction for medicinal air product or O2 generator power supply, air ventilation..)
 It must not be positioned in a zone who can receive people

COMMISSIONING

HOSPIVAC / MEDIVAC and MINIVAC-1 systems are used only for suction of non-aggressive
gas, with less than 22% of oxygen gas.
It is not recommended to use MINIVAC-1 and HOSPIVAC / MEDIVAC to exhaust anaesthetic
gas (AGSS system) with the risk of self-ignition
IMPORTANT: Mechanical vacuum switches having relative value measurements are used
(for all types of regulation) or sensors (MILLENIUM), and set taking the altitude at which
they are installed into account. For details on this procedure, refer to the § 5.
First steps – Advice prior to commissioning the vacuum pumps
8.1.
Read the attached vacuum pump start-up and maintenance manual prior to starting up the equipment.
It should be noted that each pump has been factory filled with synthetic oil MV99S, special designed for
vacuum pumps.
The oil level of each pump must be checked prior to operation.
e tio àbetween
Set the general switch GS (red/yellow knob) to O (Off).
8.2.

Switching on

Open the main receiver bleed valve and shut off the network outlet valve.
Set the main switch (MS) to I (On): all vacuum pumps start
Immediately check the direction of rotation of pumps. An arrow affixed to the pump indicates the correct
direction of rotation. If turning in the wrong direction, immediately stop the unit using the main switch (MS)
and inverse the power supply wires to the Mobile MINIVAC-1 and HOSPIVAC / MEDIVAC 1, 2, 3 and V. For

Note: For HOSPIVAC TWIN and V2+V2/V3+V2/V3+V3, rotational direction must be control for the two
electrical box.
Close the main receivers bleed valve and open the network outlet valve.
Position the main switch of the unit to On (I) and the unit will start up resulting in a steady increase of the
depression within the network. Check all connections for leaks.
To check that the chosen set up is operating correctly:
 Isolate the system from the network by closing the outlet valve,
 Induce a controlled leak by partially opening the bleed valve of the main receiver.
 Once this check has been carried out, make sure the bleed valve is properly closed and open the network
outlet valve.
For more detailed information concerning the control mode, consult the PROCOM-2 or CYCLIC 2020 or
MILLENIUM manual.
