SECURITY RING
When the crown is not entirely screwed in, a
red ring shows. If this ring still appears, the
model's water resistance to 1,000 m /3,300 ft
is not guaranteed.

DECOMPRESSION VALVE
To avoid a potential explosion when returning to the surface, the case of
your Breitling chronometer is fi tted with a decompression valve that vents
the gases – mostly helium – that accumulate in the case during prolonged
immersion at great depths.

UNIDIRECTIONAL BEZEL WITH INDEX MARKERS
The bezel of your watch is marked with 12 index
markers: they are used as points of reference to mark
a start time or a limit time you wish to remember.
On models with no chronograph functions, they also
provide a "minute chrono" function enabling you to
measure the elapsed time in minutes.
For safety, the bezel can only turn counterclockwise.
