decontamination can be performed when the chamber is contaminated or when cleaning the

chamber prior to starting a culture.

decontamination operates when UV system set MCO-170UVS, H

decon board MCO-170HB, and electric lock MCO-170EL are all installed on the model MCO-170M.
Read the precautions for safe operation on pages 5–9 before performing decontamination.
Notes:
• Never start H
O
decontamination when "Warning: UV Bulb Life" is displayed in the message display field.

The UV resolution will be insufficient.
• If the power supply is cut off during H

1. Take all the trays, the fan cover, the duct, the humidifying pan cover, the humidifying pan, the gas
injection nozzle, and the gas injection nozzle tube out of the chamber.
2. Dispose of the water in the humidifying pan, and wipe the attachments removed from the chamber with
a piece of gauze soaked with water or alcohol for disinfection.
3. Wipe the inside walls of the chamber with a piece of gauze soaked with water or alcohol.
4. Attach the duct and the fan cover.
5. Pour one bottle of the H
into the H
O
generator MCO-HP (Fig. 1).

6. Fit the two pins on the H
two holes on the lower left side of the duct (Fig. 1).
