General Safety Instructions Electric Tools
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Read all directions and safety instructions.
Failure to follow the directions and safety
instructions could result in electric shock,
burns, and/or serious injury.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Keep all safety notes and instructions for future reference.
The term "electric tool" used in these safety instructions
refers to an electrically powered tool (with power cable) and
also to battery operated electric tools (without power cable).
1 Safety at Work
a) Keep your working area clean and well lit. Clutter and
poorly lighted work areas can cause accidents.
b)
Never work with electric tools in an
explosive environment where combustible
fluids, gases, or dust are present. Electric
tools create sparks that can ignite the dust or
vapors.
c) Keep children and other people at a distance when
using electric tools. If distracted, you may lose control
of the tool.

2 Electrical safety

a) Avoid
physical
contact
surfaces such as pipes, heating, ovens, and
refrigerators. The risk of electric shock will be greater if
your body is grounded.
b) Keep electric tools away from rain and wetness. The
ingress of water in an electric tool increases the risk of
electric shock.
c) Do not carry or suspend the tool by the tool cable.
Keep the cable away from heat, oil, sharp edges or
moving parts. Damaged or tangled cables increase the
risk of electric shock.
3 Safety of persons
a) Never use an electric tool if you are tired or under
the influence of drugs, alcohol, or medication. One
moment of inattentiveness when using an electric tool
can cause serious injuries.
b)
Use personal protective equipment (PPE)
and always wear safety goggles. Wearing
personal protective equipment such as a
dust mask, non-slip safety shoes, a helmet
or hearing protection can, depending on
the type and use of the electric tool, help to
reduce the risk of injury.
c) Remove any adjustment tools or wrenches before
operating the electric tool. A tool or wrench left in a
rotating part of the tool could cause injuries.
d) Avoid abnormal postures. Make sure you have a firm
stance and maintain your balance at all times. This
will enable you to keep better control of the electric tool
EN
with
ground-protected
in unexpected situations.
e)
Wear appropriate clothing. Never wear
loose clothing or jewelry. Keep hair,
clothing and gloves away from moving
parts. Loose clothing, jewelry or long hair
can get entangled in moving parts.
4 Use and handling of an electric tool
a) Use the appropriate electric tool for the application.
Using the correct electric tool improves performance and
safety within the specified range.
b) Never use an electric tool with a defective switch. An
electric tool that can no longer be switched on and off is
dangerous and must be repaired.
c)
Ensure tools are not in use before changing
controller parameters or accessories.
These precautionary measures prevent the
electric tool from restarting unexpectedly.
d) Electric tools should only be used by trained and
qualified personnel. Electric tools can be dangerous if
used by inexperienced people.
e) Treat electric tools with care. Check to ensure that
moving parts function perfectly and do not jam. Also
check to ensure that no parts are broken, or damaged
to such an extent that the function of the electric tool
is impaired. Arrange for damaged parts to be repaired
before using the device. Poorly maintained electric tools
have been the cause of many accidents.
f) Always use electric tools, accessories and impact
tools in accordance with these instructions. Also
pay attention to ambient workplace conditions and
the nature of the work being carried out. Dangerous
situations can arise if electric tools are ever used for any
application other than the one intended.
5 Service
a) Always arrange to have your electric tool repaired by
suitably qualified technical specialists.
