8. MAINTENANCE, STORAGE, DISPOSAL AND SERVICE LIFE
A. Maintenance/cleaning
Check regularly the condition of the maximum flexion stop screws
Check regularly that the M6 screws are tight (tightening torque of 6 Nm).
If a malfunction occurs or if premature wear or traces of rust are detected, consult
your prosthetist/orthotist as soon as possible
You can clean the knee using a damp sponge
Clean the knee after exposing it to potential contamination (water, mud, etc.) and
if it is immersed.
After immersion in sea water, rinse carefully in fresh water and then dry
completely.
Do not use a solvent or other aggressive product when cleaning
To clean the shock-absorber, refer to the manufacturer's instructions provided
with the knee.
B. Storage
Service and storage temperature: -25°C to +40°C
Relative humidity of the air: no restrictions
C. Disposal
The various components of this device are considered as special waste: aluminium, stainless steel pins and screws, titanium
connectors, plastic bushes and oil. They must be treated in accordance with current, applicable legislation.
D. Service life
The knee must be serviced after every 100 hours of use by your prosthetist/orthotist (i.e. every year if used at moderate activity levels
or every 6 months at a higher level of activity).
