Electrical connection
Refer to the wiring diagram on the back of the cover.
Never supply the heating element electrically and direct.
The water heater has to be continuously powered to ensure its ACI hybrid pro-
tective function (anti-corrosion).
The water heater must be connected to a 230 V single phase AC mains. The electrical
connection must comply with the NFC 15-100 installation standards and with the appli-
cable recommendations in the country where the water heater is installed.
The installation must include:
•
An all-pole circuit breaker with contact opening of at least 3 mm: safety switch, fuse...
•
Protection by a 30 mA earth-leakage circuit breaker.
Grounding is mandatory.
In no case should the safety thermostat on the electric heating element be repaired out-
side our factories. Failure to comply with this clause will void the warranty. Failure to
comply with this clause will void the warranty.
If the user has a power supply contract for peak- and off peak-hours, the device's control
will automatically adjust the power consumption. To facilitate this function, the switch
board has to transmit respective data to the device (by 230 V being applied or not).
The former unit's power supply can be used for the new water heater.
In specific cases, when providing for a second power line is difficult, the electricity provi-
der's peak-/off peak-hours-contact can be replaced by the device's integrated timer.
Do not lay the water heater's/external aggregate's power cables in switch cabi-
nets or next to power cables supplying other networks than the one of the
water heater.
Ensure not to damage the power cables' protective layer when they are being put into the
cable terminals.
Also ensure to treat the electrical conductors' insulation to the connection terminal strip
with care.
