The M-LNCS to LNC MAC Adapter Cable and Masimo M-LNCS sensors are indicated for the continuous noninvasive monitoring
of arterial oxygen saturation (SpO
CONTRAINDICATIONS
The M-LNCS to LNC MAC Adapter cable is for use with Masimo M-LNCS sensor only.
DESCRIPTION
The M-LNCS to LNC MAC Adapter cable allows Masimo M-LNCS sensors to be used on devices with Nellcor and Nellcor
compatible Oximeters. Masimo SET® Technology is not available when using this adapter cable.
The M-LNCS to LNC MAC Adapter Cable has been verified with Nellcor's N-200 oximeter.
WARNINGS
• Ensure the cable is physically intact, with no broken or frayed wires or damaged parts. Visually inspect the cable and
discard if cracks or discoloration are found.
• Failure to properly connect the sensor or the oximeter module to the cable will result in intermittent readings, inaccurate
results, or no reading.
• To avoid damage to the cable, always hold it by the connector rather than the cable when connecting or disconnecting
either end.
• Always refer to the oximeter module operator's manual for complete instructions or additional instructions.
• Carefully route the patient cable to reduce the possibility of patient entanglement or strangulation.
INSTRUCTIONS
ATTACHING
A) Attaching the LNC MAC patient cable directly to the Instrument
Orient the connector of the cable to mate with the connector of the instrument.
B) Attaching the M-LNCS to LNC MAC Adapter to the LNC MAC patient Cable
1. Refer to Fig. 1. Insert the M-LNCS to LNC MAC Adapter completely into the LNC MAC patient cable connector.
2. Refer to Fig. 2. Completely close the protective cover of the LNC MAC patient cable.
C) Attaching the M-LNCS to LNC MAC Adapter to a M-LNCS Sensor
Reusable Sensor
1. Refer to Fig. 3. Orient the reusable sensor connector (1) to the M-LNCS to LNC MAC Adapter cable (2) as shown.
2. Insert the reusable sensor connector (1) completely into the M-LNCS to LNC MAC Adapter cable (2). Close the reusable
sensor connector cover (3) over the M-LNCS to LNC MAC Adapter cable connector (2).
Adhesive Sensor
1. Refer to Fig. 4. Orient the adhesive sensor connector (1) to the M-LNCS to LNC MAC Adapter cable connector (2)
as shown.
2. Insert the adhesive sensor connector (1) completely into the M-LNCS to LNC MAC Adapter cable connector (2) until it
locks in place.
DISCONNECTING
Reusable Sensor
1. Refer to Fig. 5. While holding the sides of the M-LNCS to LNC MAC Adapter (2), lift the sensor cover (3) from the
reusable sensor.
2. Disconnect the reusable sensor from the M-LNCS to LNC MAC Adapter.
Adhesive Sensor
1. Refer to Fig. 6. While holding the sides of the connectors, place thumb on the latch of the adhesive sensor connector
and press.
2. Hold the latch down while pulling the connectors apart.
M-LNCS to LNC MAC Adapter from the LNC MAC patient cable
1. Refer to Fig. 7. Lift the protective cover of the LNC MAC patient cable to gain access to the connector.
2. Refer to Fig. 8. Pull firmly on the M-LNCS to LNC MAC Adapter cable connector to remove it from the LNC MAC
patient cable.
