IMPORTANT: When using this chime with a transformer, bat-
teries are not needed and should not be installed even when
using wireless push buttons.
this chime requires 3 "d" alkaline batteries (not included).
In typical use, alkaline batteries will last up to one year.
WaRnIng: to prevent possible sERIoUs InJURY
or dEath:
• NEVER allow small children near batteries.
• If battery is swallowed, immediately notify doctor.

If chime is not connected to transformer wires then install 3
alkaline "D" batteries. Make sure batteries are oriented properly
(see Figure 5).
2.
Test range. Temporarily position chime and wireless push but-
ton where you want them mounted. Press push button to verify
chime and push button work properly. If chime does not sound,
see Troubleshooting – Battery-Powered Chime Base (see page
12).
3.
Remove batteries.
4.
Mount chime base to wall using screws and anchors provided
(see Mount Chime Base, page 7).
5.
After mounting chime base to wall, install batteries.
6.
Select front door tune (see Tune Setting, page 9).
7.
Install cover (see page 10).
