Press the MODE/VFD button (H) to change the
measurement mode. The set measurement mode in
indicated by the following symbols:

When measuring DC current, allow time for the meter to
zero before taking a reading. If necessary, press the REL /
button (E) to zero the display (18). The
appears on the display. It is not necessary to zero the meter
when measuring AC current.
•
Press the trigger (D) to open the jaw. Clamp around a single
conductor making sure the jaws are fully closed before
taking a reading. For best results, center the conductor in
the jaw.
•
Read the current on the display (F).
Inrush current flow
•
In AC current measurement mode, press the PEAK/
INRUSH button (L) to measure the inrush current value. The
INRUSH indicator (7) appears on the display.
•
With power off, clamp on the circuit being tested for inrush.
•
Energize the circuit being tested.
•
The product captures the PEAK/INRUSH current and the
reading is held on the display.
