• ATTENTION: not all ELITE VideoRaces are
compatible with the Elite RealTour home trai-
ner. Only DVDs marked RealTour are compa-
tible with the RealTour hometrainer.
• Do not stop the rotation of the bicycle wheel
by using caliper or disk brake. This seriously
damages the roller and the tire.
Elite Realtour is an electronic interactive trai-
ner that interfaces with a PC (Windows) throu-
gh a handlebar mounted console.
Elite Realtour software synchronizes real
world courses viewed on the PC screen with
the cyclist's speed, ensuring realistic road
simulation and training.
Elite Realtour also allows the programming of
custom courses. The software automatically
adjusts the resistance based on slope, speed
and rider weight while tracking heart rate,
power, speed, gradient, cadence, distance,
time and other information.
Elite Realtour also allows all data to be saved
for analysis and comparison with the option of
printing reports based on saved data. A tho-
rough reading of the manual is necessary for a
full understanding of the features and opera-
tion of the Realtour.
SOFTWARE INSTRUCTIONS
This manual does not give any instructions
regarding use of the programme. A complete
guide to using the programme is given in the
programme Help.
To access the Help guide it is necessary to
install the programme. The instructions for
installing the programme are given in the sec-
tion "Use of Realtour with the computer –
Programme installation".
After installing the programme, the Help guide
can be accessed in two different ways:
• press button F1 on the keyboard;
• select "Help – Help Contents" from the
programme menu.

IMPORTANT
INTRODUCTION
HEART RATE MONITOR
Elite RealTour incorporates a receiver for
chest-band heart rate monitors. This allows it
to measure your heart rate while training and
visualise it on the monitor.
The heart rate monitor is not supplied with the
product.
Elite RealTour's heart rate monitor receiver is
compatible with all "standard" transmitters,
i.e., those featuring 5 KHz transmission fre-
quencies and all codified Polar transmitters.
It is incompatible with transmitters based on
proprietary transmission protocols.
Warning: integrated wireless systems that
measure cadence and speed, in addition to
heart rate, may interfere with the heart rate
readings of RealTour. In order to avoid this,
remove the sensor form the crank.
SLOPE
The maximum slope that can be simulated
also varies according to speed and weight. In
fact, the power required in order to overcome
a climb depends on the speed at which you
approach the climb (the quicker you are, the
more power you develop) as well as on your
weight (the heavier you weigh, the more power
you need to develop to overcome a climb).
Whenever a situation requires more than the
maximum power, RealTour goes on providing
the maximum power therefore you will not feel
any further increase in resistance.
