To use:
You can use the ‚MODE' button to switch
between temperature display in °C (celsius) or
°F (fahrenheit).
The ‚MEAT' button allows you specify the type
of meat that you want to prepare. The upper
display area displays a pictogram and the
corresponding description:
BEEF
LAMB
VEAL
HAMBURGER
PORK
TURKEY
CHICKEN
FISH
The ‚ T ASTE' button helps you choose how you
would like your meat cooked:
RARE = red centre
M RARE = semi red
MEDIUM = pink
M WELL = semi pink
WELL = well done throughout
For health safety reasons, poultry should al-
ways be thoroughly cooked. The thermometer
takes the relevant special characteristics into
consideration and does not, therefore, offer all
cooking options for all meat types.
Note: If you would like a core temperature
which is different to that suggested by the
thermometer, you can set this yourself (see
Independent temperature setting).
The core temperature will be displayed in the
middle of the display.
Insert the probe tip of the metal wire into the
thickest part of the meat – try to get as far in
to the centre of the meat as possible. However,
please ensure that you do not get too close to
gristle, bone or fat sections as this may lead to
