Interpreting the Results

The flow rate values must be between:
■ 125.5 and 153.5 L/min, i.e. 139.5 L/min +/-10% for the first
s p e e d
■ 163.6 and 200 L/min, i.e. 181.8 L/min +/-10% for the second
s p e e d
If this is not the case, there are two possible causes:
■ The sieve is partially clogged and should be cleaned (see proce-
dure below)
■ The tester needs to be recalibrated (See the "Calibration Method"
section for an outline of the procedure.)
In all cases, clean the sieve before performing a new calibration.

Cleaning Procedure

1. Immerse the sieve in an ultrasonic bath containing 50% tap water +
50% ultrapure water (Milli-Q
2. Run the ultrasonic bath for one hour.
3. Remove the sieve from the bath and dry it with filtered com-
pressed air.
When the sieve has been cleaned, retest it by the above procedure.
