Working with Multiple Tester Sieves
If you are using more than one tester sieve, you can save time and
effort by proving that all the sieves you are using are within calibration
values, regardless of the sampler you are using.
First, you must check the specifications of your M Air T sampler. Do
this by following the procedure outlined in the previous "Check and
Calibration" section, but instead of using a tester sieve, use the calibra-
tion sieve. Complete this procedure for each sampler that you are
using. If your flow rates are not within acceptable limits (see the
"Interpreting the Results" section) for one or more of your samplers,
you must calibrate the sampler(s) following the steps outlined in the
"Calibrating the M Air T Tester" section.
Then, once all your samplers have been tested and found to meet
calibration specifications, you can test each of your sieves. Using one
of the samplers that has already been calibrated, follow the procedure
outlined in the previous "Check and Calibration" section, this time
using a tester sieve, as directed. Repeat this procedure with each of
your tester sieves, using the same M Air T sampler each time.
When you've completed the tests for each of the tester sieves, you can
be assured of staying within calibration values while using any of your
samplers with any of your sieves.
