NOTE
I
If you do not have sufficient technical knowledge for installing and
connecting the components in vehicles, you should have a specialist install
the emergency brake light in your vehicle.
Your vehicle must have a 12 V operating voltage so that you can connect the
emergency brake light.

Check whether your vehicle is equipped with a CAN bus:
– With a CAN bus: proceed according to fig. 3 to fig. 8
– Without a CAN bus: proceed according to fig. 9 to fig. d

Select the installation location for the control unit (1):
– With a CAN bus: in the boot in the vicinity of the brake lights
– Without a CAN bus: in the vicinity of the brake pedal
– Not in areas where strong electrical fields could cause interference, e. g.
ignition cables or central control electronics
– Not directly next to other control units in order to prevent them interfering
with each other (this can result in malfunctions)
– Not directly next to ventilator nozzles.
