Application
Thermostatic mixers are designed for hot water supplies from
pressurised storage heaters and offer the highest temperature
accuracy when used in this way. With sufficient power output
(from 18 kW or 250 kcal/min), electric or gas instantaneous
heaters are also suitable.
Thermostats cannot be used in connection with unpressurised
storage heaters (displacement water heaters).
All thermostats are adjusted in the factory at a flow pressure
of 3 bar on both sides.
Should temperature deviations occur on account of special
installation conditions, the thermostat must be adapted to local
conditions (see Adjusting, Calibration.

Technical Data

• Recommended flow pressure:
• Test pressure:
• Flow rate at 3 bar flow pressure

If static pressure exceeds 5 bar, a pressure reducing valve
must be fitted.

Installation
Flush piping system prior and after installation of fitting
thoroughly (Consider EN 806)!
Fit S-unions. Required dimensions, see dimensional
drawings on fold-out page I and Fig. [1] on fold-out page II.
Screw-mount the mixer, see Figs. [2] and [3].
1. Turn pre-mounted screw ring (A) by 30°. Press screw
ring (A) from the flat on the union of the wall connection (B),
see Figs. [2] and [3].
2. Screw wall connection (B) to the S-union using a 32mm
open-ended spanner until resistance is felt. Do not tighten
excessively, in order to avoid deformation of the wall
connection (B), see Fig. [3].
3. Press screw ring (A) onto the flat of the wall connection (B).
Turn screw ring (A) by 30° until it engages.
4. Screw escutcheon (C) to wall over screw ring (A).
Reversed union (hot on right - cold on left).
5. Replace thermostatic cartridge (V), see replacement parts
fold-out page I, Prod. no. 47 657 (1/2")
Open cold and hot-water supply and check connections
for water-tightness.

Adjusting

For temperature adjustment (calibration), see Figs. [4]
approx. 12 l/min
and [5].
80 °C
• Before the mixer is put into service if the mixed water
temperature measured at the point of discharge varies from
60 °C
the specified temperature set on the thermostat.
38 °C
• After any maintenance operation on the thermostatic
cartridge.
1. Open the shut-off handle (D) by pulling the button (D1)
right
towards the hand shower, see Fig. [4].
left
2. Measure the temperature of the running water using a
= 5 l/min
thermometer.
3. Detach the temperature control handle (E), see Fig. [5].
4. Turn regulating nut (F) until the water temperature
reaches 38 °C.
5. Fit temperature control handle (E) so that the 38 °C marking
coincides with the marking (E2) on the mixer body,
see Fig. [4].

Temperature limitation

The safety stop limits the temperature range to 38 °C.
If a higher temperature is desired, the 38 °C limit can be
overridden by pulling the button (E1), see Fig. [4].
Shut-off handle (D) operation, see Fig. [4].
