Mounting the GPS device
NOTE:
The TOMTOM Rider 2 handlebar holder is equipped with a locking mechanism in which the key and the locking cover can be closed
in a single motion. In locking cylinders such as the one used here, the key can only be inserted and removed when the locking cover
is fully opened or fully closed. Inserting the key releases the lock. The locking cover can then be moved freely.
The holder is constructed in such a manner that it is very easy to insert the TOMTOM device and activate the locking mechanism.
If operated correctly, it is not necessary to exert excessive force.
Insert the four prepared screws into the four corners from below, through the
silentblock and the intermediate plate, and screw each in place with a U
washer M4 (2) and a self-locking nut M4 (1) (max. 3Nm).
The holder is now ready for use.
Mounting the holder on the motorcycle
To be able to mount the holder on your motorcycle, loosen the nut under
each clamp to be able to attach the clamp to the center strut, for example.
Then retighten all screws well enough so that the holder is unable to rotate
on the center strut.
To insert the TOMTOM Rider 2 into the holder, the upper locking cover must
be completely open.
The handlebar holder is delivered with the key not inserted in the lock and
the lock closed.
Insert the key into the lock (the locking cover is released).
Open the locking cover by turning the key with the cover in a clockwise direction
toward the rear.
Now insert the device from the top into the guide rail of the original TOM-
TOM Rider 2 holder.
Push the device down to the point where you notice the detents of the TOM-
TOM plastic holder engage in the device housing. To lock the device into the
handlebar holder, turn the locking cover with the key counterclockwise until
A
the locking cover comes into contact with the TOMTOM housing.
To fix the TOMTOM Rider 2 in the handlebar holder in a manner suitable for
the motorcycle, reach onto the locking cover from above with your left hand
and turn it downward until you can feel the resistance of the stop. Guide the
key with your right hand at the same time.
When the locking cover is turned down all the way, the key can be removed
easily.
If the key cannot be pulled out, the locking cover has not been turned down
all the way.
