Troubleshooting

PROBLEM
1. Burner will not light.
2. Burner fl ame lifting off of
burner, or fl ame blows out.
3. Burner fl ame is small
4. Industrial 250 and
365N torches:
Burner lights but goes out after
releasing the button on the
safety control valve
Pilot fl ame is small.

CAUSE
* Valve closed on torch or at fuel supply.
* Cylinder or tank low on fuel.
* Burner orifi ce plugged.
* Gas hose blocked.
* Blockage at burner orifi ce or air inlet of burner.
* Pressure is too high
* Gas supply valves not fully open
* Burner orifi ce is plugged.
* Gas supply container low on fuel.
* Check valve in POL fi tting is locked.
* Insuffi cient time to allow thermocouple to warm up.
* Blocked pilot orifi ce
* Defective safety control valve
* Defective thermocouple
* Blocked pilot orifi ce
CURE
* Open valves.
* Fill cylinder/tank.
* Clean the burner orifi ce.
* Remove hose and blow out with air.
* Clean the torch.
* Set to correct pressure
* Open all valves
* Clean the orifi ce
* Replace or refi ll the container.
* Close the supply valve and wait a short time
to allow reset of the check valve.
* Allow 30 seconds warm-up.
* Replace or clean the orifi ce
* Replace the valve
* Replace the thermocouple
* Replace or clean the orifi ce
