Charging the battery:
•
Connect the terminals to the battery (red terminal to plus, black terminal to minus).
•
Then connect the JMP 800 battery charger to the socket.
•
Charging begins automatically!
•
The terminals are incorrectly connected if the red LED illuminates. Please exchange the terminals on the
battery poles! Charging only commences if the terminals are correctly connected. Accidentally switching
of the terminals will not damage the JMP 800 battery charger or the battery.
•
The yellow LED illuminates during charging.
•
The battery is fully charged and ready for operation as soon as the green LED illuminates.
•
The JMP 800 battery charger switches to floating charging after the battery is fully charged. The batters
is maintained in a fully-charged condition during this (between 95% and 100 % of its capacity).
•
The JMP 800 battery charger can be continuously connected to the battery for months to maintain the
battery charge. It is recommended that the acid level in the battery be checked at regular intervals if an
open battery type designed for refilling with water is involved.
•
Charging can be terminated at any time. First disconnect the battery charger from the mains power
supply for this purpose, then disconnect the terminals from the battery.
