6.- ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION.

The electrical installation of EQUIMATIC complies with all of the requirements that apply to
low-voltage installations, such as R. D. 444/1994 and 1950/1995, which implement Directive
89/336/EEC on Electromagnetic Compatibility, as amended by Directives 91/263/EEC, 92/31/EEC,
93/68/EEC and 93/97/EEC, and UNE-EN 60204-1, Safety of machinery. Electrical equipment of
machines.
The machine is powered through the charger provided for the connection to a 220 V, 50 Hz AC
socket.
This device is also intended to cut off the electricity supply. The combination of socket and
charger as an electricity cut off device has been approved for machines not exceeding 16 A and with
a total power of no more than 3 kW according to UNE-EN 60204-1
equipment of machines. Part 1: General requirements
Check that voltage and line rate correspond to the data given on the plate (220 V, 50 Hz) and that
the electrical power system withstands the maximum consumption of the machine (5 W). Connect the
machine to the electricity supply. A 220 VAC-12 VDC power transformer/charger is provided along
with the connecting cable. The charger must be plugged to the current network, and this has to be
connected to the 12 VDC outlet provided that it is active. The hopper has an automatic
thermomagnetic that would switch off in case of electrical short or overload of the motor.
WARNING: Before putting it into operation, charge the battery with its charger and with the
programmer in switched-off position for 12 hours at least.
IF THERE IS A BLOCKAGE IN THE MOTOR, THE THERMOMAGNETIC
WILL ACT AS A PROTECTION AND AVOID ANY
HARMFUL OVERCURRENT.
