Startup and Setting the TD 390

Startup
After connecting the TD 390 to the PLC, the unit performs a self–test.
After this, the TD attempts to set up a connection to the PLC. If no
connection is set up within about 20 seconds, you must check the cause
(defective cable, connector not plugged in, etc.). If connection setup is
successful, the parameters required by the TD 390 are read (see Section
8.4) and, if the flag bits are set, messages are displayed.
The diagram below shows the various options for startup.
