3. TRANSPORT AND STORAGE

When taking delivery of the equipment, check that it has not
been damaged in transit. If anything is found wrong, take the
necessary steps with the carrier within the allowed time.
If the equipment delivered is to be installed at a later
time, store it in a dry place and protect it from impacts
and outside influences (moisture, frost, etc.).
During handling, take care to maintain the geometry and
alignment of the system.

5. INSTALLATION
5.1. Assembly
Pump in suction (see Fig. 1) or under pressure with tank above
(see Fig. 2).
Install the pump in a place that is easy to reach, protected from
frost, and as close as possible to the place from which the water
is drawn.
- Provide an attachment point (rail or lifting hook) in the
centreline to allow easy removal.
- Installation on a concrete foundation block (at least 10 cm high)
with attachment by anchor bolts; the surface of the foundation
block must be perfectly level (see Fig. 4).
- Before final tightening of the anchor bolts, make sure that the
pump centreline is perfectly vertical; insert shims if necessary.
- Place an insulating material (reinforced rubber or cork) under
the foundation block to prevent the transmission of vibrations.
- Protect the pump against dry running, if the installation
requires.
- Comply with the minimum suction heads according to the
NPSH the pump requires.
- Allow for the fact that altitude and temperature reduce
suction capacity.
Above 80°C, the pump must be installed under pressure
(see Fig. 2).
