Installation to Pump
Install Well Casing Components
1. Presoak leather seals on leather packer-type jet by
placing jet assembly in a pail of water for a short
period. If necessary, attach correct jet nozzle to
ejector body, then connect venturi. See instructions
shipped with jet assembly.
2. Connect jet assembly to first length of suction
pipe (see Figure 1). Use 3/4" pipe for 1-1/4" and
1-1/2" casings, 1-1/4" pipe for 2", 2-1/2" and 3"
casings. Use Teflon™ tape or Teflon™-based thread

compound sparingly on male threads only.
3. Lower jet and pipe assembly (suction pipe) into
well casing, adding additional lengths of pipe and
Teflon™ tape until proper depth is reached. Tighten
each joint as lengths are added.
NOTICE: 1-1/4" and 2" casing sizes require special
turned couplings. DO NOT use ordinary pipe
couplings as they restrict water flow and reduce
pump capacity.
4. After correct depth is reached, move suction pipe up
and down a few inches to help seat leathers against
casing. Water pressure will seal leathers more firmly
against casing wall. Allow suction pipe to extend
about 6" above casing. Temporarily support suction
pipe with pipe clamp or other suitable device just
above casing. Check foot valve for leakage by filling
pipe with water. Pipe should remain full.

1. Disassemble lower flange (3) from casing adapter (1).
