How to Operate Your Ceiling Fan
6. Follow these steps to pair your remote control to your
fan. (Figure 4)
1) After installing and wiring the unit, restore power
to your fan by ensuring that the breaker and wall
switch that controls the power supply is moved to
the on position, set the dip switches inside the
battery compartment of the handheld remote control
to the desired setting, press and hold the "SET"
button for 1-5 seconds.
2) You must press the "SET" button within 60
seconds of restoring power to the fan.
3) When restoring power to your fan at the wall
switch and breaker, DO NOT press any button(s) on
the handheld remote control before pressing the
"SET" button, otherwise the fan will fail the learn
procedure.
4) If you press any button(s) on the handheld remote
control before pressing the "SET" button, please turn
the wall switch that controls the power to the fan to
the o position then on again, and start the process
beginning with Step 1 above.
5) When you press the "SET" button, the light will
turn on and o twice, if there is no light, the fan will
move backward and forward only, and it has finished
the control set up process.
6) The fan is now ready for normal use.
7. Remote functions: (Figure 5)
Fan speed:
I = minimum speed
III = medium low speed
V = medium high speed
: Turns the fan off.
: Controls fan direction - forward and reverse.
: Controls light-Infinite light levels are available by
holding the light on/off button.
8. The "ON" selection on remote (J) is the light
dimmable selection and is to be used with all bulbs
other than CFL. The "D" selection is to be used with
CFLs (as CFLS cannot be dimmed). The receiver
provides the following protective function:
Lock position: The DC motor has a built-in safety
feature against blade obstruction against obstruction
during operation. If something obstructs the fan blades
the motor will stop operating after 30 seconds of
interruption. Please remove obstacles and reset.

Over 80W protection: When the receiver detects motor
power consumption that is greater than 80 watts, the
receiver power will shut down and fan operation will
cease. Disconnect the power supply and after 5
seconds return power on to the fan.
