3. OPERATOR INSTRUCTIONS

Before operating the converter, the

Construction and Control

• 1 Emergency Stop circuit, which includes:
◦ 1 Emergency Stop button
◦ 1 Front cover safety switch
◦ 1 Rear cover safety switch
• 1 or 2 foot switches
• 1 On/Off main switch
• 1 End of Web sensor
• 1 Bin Full Sensor
• 2 motor circuit breakers
• 2 line power fuses

Turning the Converter On

First, check that the following conditions are met:
• The foot switch is plugged in
• The Emergency Stop button is deactivated
• All covers are closed
• Hands are free from the converter exit chute
Then follow these steps:
• Plug the power plug into the wall socket with ground
contact
• Set the main switch (located next to the power cord
plug underneath the converter) to "On" or "I".
• Reset the converter.
◦ Press flashing red Reset button
◦ Converter MUST be reset to operate
The converter is now ready for use.

Loading the Paper

Pay attention when using hand tools
such as knives, scissors etc, due to the
risk of cutting!
Warning!
Pay attention to ergonomic factors
such as lifting, bending, reaching, etc.!
Warning!
To load a paper bundle in the converter, complete the
following steps:
Ensure all covers are closed and the Emergency

manual cut.
Pull the cut off pad out of the chute. This is an
11. important step as the converter will not begin pad
production if the front chute is open.
12. The converter is now ready for use.
