Maintenance and care
1. Unscrew the hexagonal bolt (1).
2. Carefully remove the ball bearing (2) from the
spindle (8).
3. Remove thrust collar (3), washer (4) and short
spacer sleeve (5) from the spindle.
4. Remove the blades (6) and the long spacer
sleeves one after another.
Assembly is carried out in reverse order.
Cleaning or replacing the air filter
Comply with the operating instructions from the
engine manufacturer.
Maintaining the spark plug
Comply with the operating instructions from the
engine manufacturer.
DANGER!
Danger of injury on hot engine parts -
wear protective gloves when replacing or
cleaning the spark plug!
Changing the oil
ADVICE
Drain off the old oil when the engine is
warm. Warm oil runs out quickly and fully.
1. Place a suitable container under the engine to
catch the oil.
2. Unscrew the oil dipstick.
3. Insert the filler neck.
4. Tilt the appliance backwards with the handle-
bar until the handlebar lies on the ground. Let
the oil drain fully.
5. Set the appliance upright and align horizon-
tally. Fill with new oil (SAE 10W-30, fill vo-
lume: 0.25 l). See also section "Filling with oil
(Figure G)".
6. Remove the filler neck.
7. Screw in the oil dipstick.
ADVICE
Dispose of used engine oil in an environ-
mentally-responsible manner.
We recommend dropping off waste oil in
a closed container at a recycling centre
or a customer service centre.
Do not dispose of waste oil
in domestic waste
in sewers or drains
or onto the ground
Comply with the operating instructions from the
engine manufacturer.

Storage
CAUTION!
Do not store motor near open flames or
heating sources - Burn and/or explosion
danger!
Let the engine cool down.
Store the scarifier in a dry place.
To save storage space, unscrew the butterfly
nuts on the beam and fold it in.
DISPOSAL
Do not dispose of worn-out machines
or spent batteries (including recharge-
able batteries) in domestic waste!
The packaging, machine and accessories
are made from recyclable materials and
must be disposed of accordingly.
