12. FINGER: Enables accompaniment in the classical
mode: all the main chords are recognised (see Chords
Table).
13. FILL IN: The function inserts a rhythm variation.
Pressing this button while the rhythm is playing
produces a rhythmic variation of the drum.
14. SYNC: The SYNC function allows you to start the
rhythm and the accompaniment as soon as the chord
is composed in either Single or Finger mode.
15. OKON: Level 1 learning function. Try to play the
melody of the song by casually and repeatedly
pressing one or more keys on the keyboard, trying to
keep tempo with the orchestra. The accompaniment
will follow you automatically during your execution.
Press "OKON" again to exit the mode.
16. DEMO ONE: Allows you to listen to a demo song.
17. DEMO ALL: Executes all the demo songs in sequence;
press the key again to stop listening.
18. TONE: To select a sound among the 100 available,
Letters and numbers to play easily
Numbers 1 to 15 ㉘ indicate the keys to play a melody
with the musical scores at the end of this manual.
The letters on the left ㉘ indicate the name of the notes
in order to compose a chord (refer to the chords table at
the end of this manual).
LOOKING AT THE KEYBOARD
The keyboard is made up of white and black keys. The
black keys are arranged in groups of 2 or 3 which may be
of help to you as you learn to recognize the positioning
of the notes.
1) The white key immediately to the left of the two black
keys is C (DO).
2) The white key immediately to the left of the three
black keys is F (FA).
3) By point 1 and 2 you can locate the other notes on
keyboard.
MUSICAL NOTATION
The notes are written on five parallel horizontal lines and
the four spaces between these lines. This group of five
lines is called the stave.
MODIFICATIONS
Sometimes, next to the
treble clef at the begin-
ning of the stave or next
to a single note, these
signs will appear: (flat)
or (sharp).
THE DURATION OF THE NOTES AND OF THE PAUSES
With reference to the tick-tock of a metronome, each note and each pause has to be performed for a time more or
less long according to the schedule.
WHOLE NOTE HALF NOTE
one -and two -and three -and four -and one -and two -and
press the TONE key and compose a number from 0 to
99.
19. RHYTHM: To select a Rhythm among the 100
available, press the RHYTHM key and compose a
number from 0 to 99.
20. ACC VOL +: Turns up the accompaniment volume.
21. ACC VOL –: Turns down the accompaniment volume.
22. TRANS +: Transposer function: by pressing this
control the keyboard increases the key by a semitone;
the transposition is viewed on the display.
23. TRANS –: Transposer function: by pressing this control
the keyboard decreases the key by a semitone; the
transposition is viewed on the display.
24. RECORD: Allows you to memorise the notes played.
25. PLAY: Allows you to listen to the recorded notes.
26. SUSTAIN: Switches the SUSTAIN function on/off.
(Sound extension).
27. VIBRATO: Switches the VIBRATO function on/off
(Sound modulation).
These signs mean that all the notes on that line, in that
space or the single note itself are flat or sharp notes, that
is, they are to be played on the relevant black keys. It's
easy to recognize them because of the method with a
number followed by the plus (+) sign. The
sign (natural) which you may find on the line of the stave
means that the previous
are to be cancelled.
HOW TO PLAY THE SONG IN EASY MODE
MELODY: In the following songs, each note corresponds
to a number. Looking at the keyboard, you can see that
there is a number above each key. To play the melody,
follow the numerical sequence on each note and press
one after another the black and white keys correspon-
ding to the same numbers on the keyboard.
