Torque wrench
PROXXON MICRO-CLICK
Dear Customer,
You have acquired a high-quality torque wrench of
the "PROXXON MICRO-CLICK" series and now
possess a robust precision instrument. Please re-
member that a tool is only as good as the user
who handles it!
Therefore, please carefully read and observe the
following operating guidelines.
Legend (Fig. 1)
1. Adjusting ring with latch
2. Handle
3. Torque indicator
4. Shank
5. Push-on tools in different wrench sizes (selec-
tion)
6. Head with ratchet mechanism and 1/2" square end
Adjusting the torque value
1. Pull back the adjusting ring (1, Fig. 1) on the
end of the grip and turn the handle to adjust to
the required torque at the analogue scale (3).
Please note: The tool has a two-part display:
the torque value is shown in tenths in the bot-
tom window.
2. Push the adjusting ring forwards again - the set
value is now locked.
Please note:
The torque indicator is made up of two parts: The
top scale is used to pre-select the required torque
value, and the bottom scale is used for the fine
adjustment!
Due to the construction type, any occurring slight
deviations of the scale gradations of the top scale
- 6 -
at the end of the adjusting procedure cannot al-
ways be avoided and do not in any way affect the
precision of your key while working.
The value set on the scale for fine adjustment is
definitive!
Working with the MICRO-CLICK
Caution: Before first use, and after a longer stor-
age period, operate the torque wrench a few times
to evenly lubricate the mechanicism in the higher
torque range.
Working with a push-on tool:
1. Adjust to the required torque.
2. Choose the push-on tool with the required size
and insert in the shaft until the spring pin
latches in the designated bore hole (see Fig.
2).
3. Place the torque wrench on the screw connection
4. Hold the torque wrench handle and pull through
slowly and evenly. The adjusted torque is sig-
nalled by a tangible jolt and a clicking sound.
The higher the adjusted torque, the louder the
signal. Do not move the torque wrench any fur-
ther!
Working with the ratchet head:
1. Adjust to the required torque.
2. Insert the ratchet head in the shaft until the
spring pin latches in the designated bore hole.
Caution: To use the torque function, the
change lever must be in the position as shown
in Fig. 3.
3. Place the torque wrench on the screw connection
4. Hold the torque wrench handle and pull through
slowly and evenly. The adjusted torque is sig-
nalled by a tangible jolt and a clicking sound.
The higher the adjusted torque, the louder the
signal. Do not move the torque wrench any fur-
ther!
