Use for intended purpose
Proportional directional control valve VPWP is intended to be used for controlling
and activating pneumatic drives with displacement encoders on an axis controller
or end-position controller from Festo (e.g. CPX-CMAX or CPX-CMPX). Example
application

The device is intended for use in an industrial environment. In residential areas,
measures for radio interference suppression may have to be taken.

Assembly
When fitting to moving parts:
• Attach the VPWP perpendicular to the direction of movement. Acceleration
forces thus have no influence on the valve slide setting.
3.1 Fitting the VPWP-4/-6/-8
Position of mounting holes:
VPWP-4/-6

• Attach the VPWP as close to the drive as possible according to one of the
following alternatives (
– on an even surface with two M3
bolts and one retaining washer
each.
The tightening torque is
1.5 Nm ± 10 %.
