Self and personnel protection
Persons less than 18 years old must not use the
device. Excepted from this are young persons of
16 and over who are working under supervision
within the scope of their vocational training.
Always remain alert and take the utmost care
when working.
Do not use the device if you are tired or under
the influence of drugs, alcohol or medicines.
Do not work with the device without having
been instructed in its use.
Ensure that you can always maintain a safe
standing position and maintain your balance at
all times.
Never point the device towards any part of
your body, towards yourself or towards other
persons.

Safety in the workplace

Keep the device out of the reach of children
and never leave it unattended. When not in use,
keep the device in a safe place out of the reach
of unauthorised persons.
Do not store or operate the device at tempera-
tures above 50°C.

Operating hazards

When drilling walls or ceilings, always secure
the device with a safety harness.
If included within the scope of delivery, use the
protective shield.
Always activate the magnets fully and exclu-
sively on metallic, ferromagnetic materials.
Make use of the entire magnet surface when
working.
Always work on flat surfaces.
Put the device down gently so as to prevent
damage to the magnetic surface.
Never subject the underside of the magnet to
heavy impacts or knocks or damage it.
Do not drill several workpieces on top of one
another.
Never perform drilling and electric welding
work on the workpiece at the same time.
Never leave the machine lying around unat-
tended, and do not use for lifting or transporting
workpieces.

Safety instructions

Electrical safety

The device must not be operated and/or stored
in a wet or damp environment. Do not expose
the device to rain.
If water penetrates into the electrical device, the
risk of an electric shock is increased.
Check the connection cables for damage.
Choose an appropriate mains voltage for the
device.
If the device power cord is damaged, it must
be replaced by the manufacturer, its customer
service or a similarly qualified person to prevent
hazards.

General safety instructions

Always visually check the device for damage
before initial use and after transport. Ensure any
damage is repaired by trained service personnel
prior to initial use.
Route the power supply cabling to ensure it does
not cause a risk of tripping.
Never bring the device into contact with corro-
sive substances.
Follow the local, country-specific guidelines.
Wear suitable hearing protection and safety
glasses.
Use only genuine Würth accessories
and spare parts.
