Inspection instructions
Before initial commissioning ...
... the sender power must always be adjusted before initial
commissioning is performed.
This also applies if the sender and receiver units are changed.
The protective field must not be broken during the
"Calibration" function.
The LGT has a sender power adjustment function to allow
optimum adaptation of the sender power to the ambient
conditions and adaptation of the control unit to the light grid
type (use of more than one pair). This ensures that the
aperture angle always remains below the required value of
± 4° (and also prevents unnecessary stress on components).
The sender power must be adjusted as follows:
1. Mount the LGT in its final position.
2. Set the "Calibration" mode: set the DIP switches in the
LGTN.
3. Apply the supply voltage.
A digit now appears on either the left- or right-hand seven-
segment display of the control unit, depending on whether
one or two light grids are connected to the control unit:
Left-hand display
Right-hand display
4. Set the value of the seven-segment display to its
maximum by aligning the LGT strips, e.g. "8", range-
dependent (e.g. range 6 m – display ≥ 2)
5. Deactivate the "Calibration" mode (DIP switch 4: OFF).
