Safety regulations
These instructions contain important sections dealing with safety.
Special attention must be paid to all framed safety text that begins with a warning symbol (triangle) followed
by a signal word, as shown below

Before starting the machine, read through these instructions carefully.
•
Also read through the red safety instructions before putting the machine to use.
•
For reasons of product safety, the machine must not be modified.
•
Use approved personal protective equipment.
•
Use Atlas Copco Genuine Parts only.
•
Replace damaged or worn plates.

Precautions before starting

WARNING
To maintain correct function of the machine,
always replace worn or damaged parts.
!
CAUTION
Before removing the oil plug, switch off the
air supply and vent the machine, otherwise
oil may squirt into your face.
•
The machine is equipped with a built-in lubricator.
Lubricating oil is essential for good machine func-
tion and service life.
•
Use synthetic air-tool oil type AIR-OIL, or mineral
base oil.

injury or damage to equipment if the caution is not observed.
•
Make it a rule to fill the oil container with the re-
commended oil daily.

N.B. When checking the oil level or filling with oil, the
machine must be in the vertical position.
•
First clean around the oil filler plug, then screw
out the plug.
•
Fill with the recommended oil up to the "lowest"
thread, then fit back and tighten the plug.
•
Check that the compressed-air hose and fittings
are not damaged, and that all compressed-air
connections are properly attached.
Choose the correct size and length of hose.
•
Make sure that you have the correct working
pressure max. 7 bar (e).
•
Before connecting the compressed-air hose to
the machine, blow through it with compressed air
to remove any foreign matter.
•
Choose the correct tool and shank size. When in-
serting certain tools, you must align the hexago-
nal shank so that the tool has the correct working
angle.
•
Open the tool retainer. Insert the tool. Close the
retainer.
