5. ADJUSTMENT OF THE FEEDER
5.1 Adjusting the height of the feeder
(Fig. 5.1)
To regulate the height of the feeder, you must first measure
the thickness of the panel you want to work (in millimeters).
Once this measurement is obtained, proceed according to the
sequence:
1) Loosen handle A and open feed arm B
2) Rotate handwheel C until the marker of the digital counter
is at the desired thickness e.g. a panel thickness measurement
equal to 19.6 mm will be recorded as 00196

3) Turn spindle D until the index is positioned on the line of
the graduated scale corresponding to the thickness of the
measured panel (Fig. 5.2).
4) Close the feed arm and tighten the handle A to lock the
working height.
At the same time that the feeder is regulated, the trim-
mer and scrapers are also regulated.

Panels with sizes bigger than 800 mm and / or thicknesses
bigger than 25 mm may need an additional clearance (aprox
0.5-0.8 mm) to the measure of the panel to obtain an ade-
quate traction of the feeder.
A wrong regulation can cause an inappropriate
dragging of the board and reult in bad finis-
hing quality.
Never forget to loosen crank A first before ad-
justing the height of the feeder.
