1. General
Voles dig through the soil and feed on routes
and plants. Every day they are in search of
food. The Vole Trap from Gardigo is an effec-
tive defence against voles and installed by
placing it in their tunnels.
2. Application
• Rinse the device thoroughly with clear,
warm water and leave it outside in the
garden for a few days, so that all foreign
odours are eliminated.

• Finding a vole tunnel: sometimes the
course of the tunnel is already apparent
from the top. It is often a straight line be-
tween two entrance holes. In order to find
the tunnel, take a long screwdriver or small
metal bar and use it as a probe. When in-

tunnel is in the centre and the two ends of
the tunnel are free of dirt. The hole should
be just wide enough to allow the trap to slip
in. If it is too wide the animal might try to
go around the trap. To avoid this you can
additionally make the side walls harder by
patting down the soil.
• Remove all stones and sticks which could
hinder the trap on closing.
• Place a piece of bait on the trigger plate.
You can use any kind of vegetable pieces.
• Prepare the trap. Make sure that one hand
is always on the clamping handles. This will
prevent an accidental triggering and possi-
ble injury.
• Insert the trigger plate at the centre of the
scissor blades. The sensitivity of the trigger
