with instructions of user manual, to prevent increase in quantity of
vapours and dust.
Threat of noise
Exposure to high level of noise may cause permanent and irre-
versible loss of hearing and other problems, such as noise in ears
(sounding, buzzing, whistling or humming in ears). Risk assessment
is indispensable, as well as implementation of appropriate control
measures in relation to these threats. Right controls in order to min-
imize the risk may include activities such as: muffl ing materials that
prevent "sounding" of object being processed. Use ear protectors,
in accordance with employer's instructions and in compliance with
hygiene and safety requirements. Operation and maintenance of
pneumatic tool should be carried out in accordance with instructions
contained in user manual, this will avoid unnecessary increase in
noise level. If a pneumatic tool is fi tted with a muffl er, always make
sure that it is properly installed when operating the tool. Select,
maintain and replace worn-out inserted tools used in accordance
with instructions of user manual. This will allow avoiding unneces-
sary noise increase.
Threats of oscillations
Exposure to oscillations may cause long-term damage of nerves and
blood vessels in hands and arms.
Dress warm clothes when working at low temperatures and keep
your hands warm and dry. In case of numbness, pain or whitening of
skin of fi ngers and hand, stop using the pneumatic tool, than inform
your employer and consult with physician. Operation and mainte-
nance of pneumatic tool in accordance with instructions contained
in user manual, will allow avoiding unnecessary increase in oscilla-
tion level. Do not hold the tool inserted with your free hand, this will
increase exposition to oscillations. Grab the tool lightly but secure-
ly, taking into account the required counter forces, since the threat
posed by oscillations is usually higher, when the gripping force is
higher. Hold additional handpieces from central position and avoid
putting pressure to the handpiece until it stops. In case of crushers,
remove smaller blocks of concrete to avoid jamming the tool. In case
of crushers, move the tool every few seconds. When displacing stop
the tool since oscillations reach high level if the tool inserted does
not lean against material that is being processed.

Additional safety instructions regarding the pneumatic tools
Compressed air may cause serious injuries:
- always cut off air supply, empty the hose from air pressure and
disconnect the tool from air supply, when: it is not used, before the
replacement of accessories or during repairs;
- never direct the air towards yourself or other persons.
Hitting by hose may cause serious injuries. Always carry out inspec-
tion with regard to damaged or loose hoses and connectors. Cold air
should be directed away from hands.
Each time when the universal screwed connectors are used (claw
connections), use protective spindles and protective connectors
against possibility of damaging the connections between hoses and
between the hose and the tool. Do not exceed the maximum pres-
sure specifi ed on the tool.
Never move the toll by keeping the hose.

OPERATING CONDITIONS

Make sure that the source of compressed air allows generating
proper operating pressure and provides the required air fl ow. In the
case of too high pressure of supply air, use pressure regulator with
safety valve. Pneumatic tool should be supplied through fi lter and
lubricator system. This will ensure cleanliness and air humidifi cation
at the same time. Condition of fi lter and lubricator should be checked
before each use and possibly fi lter should be cleaned or oil in lubri-
cator should be refi lled. This will ensure proper operation of tool and
extends its service life.
In case of high loads, a recoil force may be generated and directed
towards the tool operator. You should adopt a posture to be able to
eff ectively resist these forces.
Unexpected tool movement or cracking of tool inserted may be a
cause of injuries.
In case of using additional tool chucks or supporting racks, make
sure that the tool was properly and securely fi xed.
Keep parts of your body and clothes away from operating tool.
There is a risk of drawing or seizing . Always make sure that all
spanners and tools used for adjustment and fi xing of other tools in
pneumatic hammer have been removed before the work.
It is possible to generate dust during the work, which depending on
the processed material may be harmful for the operator.
