GENERAL NOTICES AND WARNIGS - To be respected when the application is possibile.
Read carefully before using the appliances
Installation: all installation, maintenance and/or modification of these control units and their devices must be carried out by qualified technical staff. These operations can be
subject to specific technical Standards which must be complied with. The device is envisioned to be used exclusively inside buildings protected from exposure to very high and
very low temperatures as well as tampering by children and/or persons without common sense for the purpose and effects of the Civil Code.
Electrical connections: all electrical connections, without exception, must be made perfectly fixing all wires as envisioned in order to prevent accidental disconnection and
closing the containers and protection devices correctly. It is mandatory to disconnect all electric connections exceeding 25V in DC and AC before opening the containers of
functioning appliances.
External power supply: 230V CA 50 Hz - connect in compliance with country law regulations
Batteries Rechargeable accumulators and/or batteries of any type: these appliances use accumulators or batteries, which are potentially dangerous as they are pollutant,
therefore dangerous to the health of the public. Replace the accumulators and/or batteries exclusively with same models, position and connect them respecting the polarity
indicated in the instructions. It is mandatory to dispose of accumulators/waste batteries according to the Standards in force. This is also the case when the machines must be
scrapped. The accumulators/batteries must be previously removed, returning them to the appliance dealer or depositing them in the relevant containers made available by the
distribution network. If liquid should escape from the batteries or accumulators, use silicone gloves to protect the hands and prevent injury.
Liability: the manufacturer declines all liability consequent to incorrect installation and/or failure to use the devices supplied.
Warranty: the warranty is valid until the expiry written on the label inside the device in the terms envisioned by the Vienna Convention of 1980 regarding the International Sale of
Goods.
Copyright: all rights relative to this manual are the property of Silentron s.p.a. It is prohibited to partially or totally reproduce the texts and imaged herein, as is the introduction
into W.E.B. network and/or public distribution with any means.
Standard conformity: more of CE declaration, the products are in compliance with EN 50131-1 - environmental class 3 - and they are declared of category I by the standard
300.220 - 1 (04/2006)
A) GENERAL FEATURES
LASERBEAM HT is a wireless electronic device made up of two plastic shapes, meant to contain one or more transceiver infrared circuits and
one movement detector radar. The two shapes are installed frontally at the maximum distance allowed from the range: by inserting the batteries,
an invisible and modulated infrared rays barrier will be originated, by interrupting one of the infrared rays the radar will switch on: if this confirms
a crossing of the barrier, the alarm will be transmitted via radio to the control panel. No electric connection or anything else is required for
installation. The special technology at low consumption used and patented from Silentron allows an autonomy of the barrier for over 18 months,
which can be noticeably reduced in case of numerous barrier crossings and/or obstacles left between the two bars for a long time.
B) USES
LASERBEAM HT may be installed for both indoor and outdoor access control: in case of outdoor use, attention must be paid to the incident
sunlight directly on the front of one of the two bars (see further notice). By means of dip-switches available on the circuits, correct functioning will
be obtained with the different configurations (see drawings). LASERBEAM HT can also transmit a signal of "end of alarm" when the ray is reset:
this will produce a signal of "interrupted barrier" at each activation of the control unit.
C) TECHNICAL FEATURES
Supply of 5513: 3 alkaline batteries LR14 (supplied) per bar – Consumption: 400uA approximately - Autonomy: over 18 months. Possibility to
double the autonomy by inserting another 3 battery block per bar opposite the first (cod. 5977).
Indoor range (maximum distance between bars): 6m.
Coded signals transmitted: alarm (ray interruption) – end of alarm (ray reset) – tampering – low battery - supervision
DualBand radio transmissions: quartz-controlled transmitters - frequencies (> 400 MHz and > 850 MHz) and power emission according to CE
Law Regulation, here indicated approximately for security reasons – Radio signals coded in the factory (40 bit) - Radio range, without noises on
the bands: open air about 100 meters - indoor residential spaces about 40 meters.
Average lapse for detection: about 1 second – 3-4 seconds in case of direct sunlight
D) EXAMPLES OF INSTALLATION (see drawings) :
Solutions with 3 rays (5513) in AND with the radar and 7 rays (5513 + 5413E4) also in AND with the radar, may be installed, paying attention to
the fact that applications inside the same room may originate interferences between the barriers due to reflection of the rays on reflective
surfaces (clear walls, mirrors and similar). Different barriers fixed in the same room a/o "visible" between them must be programmed in a
different way, introducing a slight delay by means of dip-switches 1 and 2 on the circuits (see drawings) , which will also modify the synchronism
of the complete barrier: on these circuits it is also necessary to arrange dip switch 3 (transmission or non-transmission of ray-reset upon
interruption) and 4 (3 minutes interdiction after an alarm or continuous functioning).
Notice: all dip-switch settings must be the same on both Master and Slave before putting the batteries inside, except for interdiction
function (4) which can be activated and/or deactivated as required, even with batteries inside.
E) ANTI-TAMPERING PROTECTION: LASERBEAM HT is implicitly protected against tampering, as removal of one of the barriers will start the
alarm in any case; however protection against removal is contemplated for the battery box, with consequent alarm transmission to the control
panel.
F) ALARM INTERDICTION FUNCTION: the system is equipped with dip-switch 4 positioned in "OFF" in order to limit the consumption
should the barrier be installed in high transit areas: in this case, the barrier does not detect passages for 3 minutes after an alarm.
G) IMPACT OF THE SUNLIGHT ON THE RECEIVER (drawing 6)
It should be avoided that the sunlight affects the barrier frontally, as this may cause loss of range with consequent continuous radar activation
and relative battery consumption. However, there will be no improper alarms if not consequent to the contemporary movement of a human
figure parallel to the barrier.
