Symptoms
- Sound is not generated.

Symptoms
- Poor reception or noise
- Seeking takes too long.
- The number of auto preset
stations is less than 6.
- Preset stations cannot be
stored.
Possible causes
- MUTE is set to ON.
- There is an electromagnetic-wave
generator such as a cellular phone near
the unit or its electrical lines.
- Balance/fader setting is not appropriate.
Possible causes
- Unsatisfactory broadcast conditions.
- The number of receivable stations is
less than 6.
- The contact of the battery lead is poor,
or the battery lead is not always
powered.
- Digital seeking may take some time.
Possible remedies
- Set MUTE to OFF.
- Keep electromagnetic-wave generators such as a cellular
phones away from the unit and the wiring of the unit. If the
noise cannot be eliminated due to the wiring harness of the
car, consult your dealer.
- Readjust balance/fader.
Possible remedies
- Receive and listen to the signals from the station concerned
in the analog mode.
- Move to an area with maximum number of receivable
stations, and try presetting.
- Make sure that the battery lead is connected securely, and
preset stations again.
- Change to auto seeking, and proceed with seeking again.
