Peripheral Submersible Pump
5. Use
The temperature of the liquid being pumped may not exceed 35º C. The pump may not be used
for swimming pools. The submersible pump you have purchased has been designed to pump clean water
or water that is chemically or mechanically non-aggressive with suspended solid particles
event that the possibility remains of the presence of aggressive chemicals in the liquid to be pumped, first
test the resistance of the materials used in the construction of the product. The pump is not suitable for use
with corrosive or abrasive liquids, fuels, or other chemical or explosive products.
6. Electrical connection
An electrical test prior to pump installation conducted by a specialised technician should verify that
all the safety measures have been taken according to the regulations in force. Check to make sure that the
voltage and frequency correspond to the data on the rating plate. The electrical connection must be made
to a safe outlet installed according to regulations and which supplies a power supply voltage to the motor ±
6% of the rated value. Use of the pump is not permitted for swimming pools, basins of water and adjacent
basins unless a thermal protection device has been installed. Consult a specialised technician. The electrical
connections must be protected from moisture. In the event of the risk of flooding, the connections must be
transferred to a protected area. Pumps for fountains and ponds must have a residual current device (RCD),
with current delivered no greater than 30 mA. The single-phase pump is equipped with an incorporated thermal
protection circuit that protects it against voltage overloads and any blockage. In the single-phase version the
condenser is also incorporated. When the pump halts due to overheating, it will start running again after a
cooling period of about 15 minutes (in the meantime, eliminate the cause of overheating).
7. Installation
For the maximum immersion depth, see the table of technical
characteristics. After installing the pump in a well (pit), carefully close
the opening in an absolutely secure manner. The user must install
an alarm or another pump for protection in order to prevent damage
due to flooding of the environment caused by interferences to the
installed electric pump. During installation, do not hold or lift the pump
using the electrical cable. Make sure that the well, basin or tank is
sufficiently large to hold the pump and that it delivers a sufficient
flow of water to guarantee correct operation with a limited number
of startups per hour. In addition, before installing the pump, make
sure that the basin is free of sand, debris or other foreign material
that could obstruct the hydraulic conduits of the pump. For pumps
without automatic float switch, it is necessary to install a control
system with minimum level probes that protects the pump from dry
operation. Attach rigid pipe or a rubber hose to the outlet union of
the pump. Make sure that the pipe/hose is not bent and that the
diameter is equal to that of the pump outlet. Put the pump in place.
8. Operation
The pump must absolutely never operate dry. Insert the plug into the socket.
