2. Application and Function
• The units described here are manually operated lifting devices, which
lift loads with a suspension element and which can additionally be
moved in several directions.
• Do not overload. Overloading the crane may damage the device, or
may cause personal injuries and property damages.
• Do not misuse the crane.
• Please also mind the product safety information!
3. Inspection
Open the packing and check that the equipment has not been damaged
in transit and that you received all the parts specified in the shipping
documents. Before bringing the equipment into service conduct a visual
inspection in order to determine leaks, damages, loose or missing parts.
4. Assembly
When lowering or folding the chassis, the wheels must generally
be oriented as shown in fig. 4.
Lowering the chassis (for security reasons this procedure should
be carried out by 2 people.)
Remove the bolt (position 18) by pulling out the spring cotter pin (posi-
tion 19).
Pull the bolt out now. The crane must then only be tilted backwards
slightly, in order to relieve the wheels (position 12). Fold the chassis into
a horizontal position (don't reach with your fingers into the fulcrum), and
align the hole on the chassis with the hole on the frame (position 01).
Secure the chassis again with the bolt and the spring cotter pin.

Before using the crane for the first time, while the lifting arm is lowered,
turn the hand wheel of the hydraulic unit counter-clockwise, while at the
same time pumping several times with the handle. Then, release the
hand wheel. The hydraulic system should then be bled.
5. Startup and operation
With this crane, the load is lifted by pumping the pump lever (position
31) several times.
To lower the load, the hand wheel of the hydraulic unit of the crane must
be turned counter-clockwise.
ATTENTION: It is strictly forbidden, to stand under raised loads.
5.1 Setting the arm length
To set the arm length, please proceed as follows:
• Move the boom (position 20) in a position that you can reach (lifting/
lowering).
• Remove the spring cotter pin and pull the bolt out of the boom (posi-
tion 20).
• Set the boom to the desired position.
• Insert the bolt into the boom (position 20) again, and secure it with the
spring cotter pin.

5.2 Procedure with the crane under load
When moving loads with the crane, make sure that:
• The floor is stable, i.e. the bearing capacity of the floor is larger than
the total weight of the load to be transported and the crane's own
weight.
• The floor is even. Unevenness can destabilize the crane, even leading
to loss of the load.
• The floor is horizontal. Never try to move a load on a leaning surface.
This could lead to a shift of the center of gravity and, thus, to a
toppling-over of the crane.
• Always lower the load to be transported to its lowest point when mov-
ing the crane. ATTENTION! Never set the load onto the chassis.
• When transporting heavy loads, the operation must be carried out by
two people.
6. Maintenance
The hydraulic unit (pump) is a sealed system, for which, under normal
working conditions, only the moving parts need to be oiled once a
month. If the pump was disassembled, in order to change the worn gas-
kets or because there Is a leakage, fill oil through the oil screw opening
(position 5) into the pump (with retracted piston).
Only use hydraulic oil (Type HPL ISO 32) that has been approved by the
manufacturer. Caution: Never use brake fluid.
7. Disposal
The disposal of this equipment must be in accordance with the legisla-
tion the respective country.
All damaged, strongly worn out or improperly functioning devices HAVE
TO BE TAKEN OUT OF OPERATION.
The repair of the equipment should be performed only by qualified
technical staff.
Use the equipment only for its intended use as described above,
any other use is explicitly excluded! For injuries and damages
resulting from improper use, misuse or infringement of safety
instructions, we accept no liability or warranty.
