Oil leaks from the plunger

One or more of the seals inside the cylinder is
worn or damaged.
The cylinder is damaged internally.

The plunger does not return, or returns more slowly than usual

Possible cause
The pressure relief valve on the pump is in the
"operation" position.
The couplings are not connected correctly.
Too much oil is returned to the pump.
An undersize hose restricts the oil flow.
The return spring is weak or broken.
The cylinder is damaged internally.
