Use
6.1
General
WARNING
Make sure you are up to date on all safety regulations and that you have mastered the use of
all equipment of the system you are going to work with.
Never try to connect or disconnect hydraulic couplers if the equipment is being used or if the
system is under pressure.
The equipment of a rescue system must always be ready for use. That means the equipment must be
checked and inspected directly after use before it is stored.
6.2
Before use
Use a pump with a pressure relief valve or a three-way valve for single-acting jacks.
•
Set the pressure relief valve on the pump in the "neutral" position.
•
Connect the hydraulic hose. Refer to chapter 5.2.
•
Start the pump.
The system is now ready for use.
6.3
During use
6.3.1
Lift a load
WARNING
Prevent damage to the tool and watch what the load is doing.
Ensure that the load is always propped in steps.
Note
Do not use the full stroke, if possible. The stop ring is designed to allow the full force to be
absorbed, but not using the full stroke reduces plunger wear.
•
Lift a load with a motor pump
-
Set the pump control lever in the "operation" position.
-
Operate the valve in the "lifting" direction.
•
Lift a load with a hand pump
-
Ensure that the pressure relief valve is in the "operation" position.
-
Operate the pump handle.
