PUTTING THE MACHINE INTO SERVICE
1) Check that the machine has not been damaged in transit.
2) Fill with grease the machine PTO flanging all around the coupling.
3) Select driving handlebar position according to the use.
4) Mount wheels and implement and tighten the securing nuts completely.
5) Add engine oil, please refer to the attached instruction booklet.
6) Check gearbox oil (fig. 9 n° 3) MP 80W 90, or international equivalent API GL5, US MIL-L-2105D.
7) Fill the tank with fuel using a tunnel provided with a fine filter.
8) Check liquid levels when the machine is horizontal.
– In close rooms the engine must be turned off.
– Learn how to stop the machine and how to turn the engine off, welI.
– Do not allow inexperienced people to handle the machine (especially children).
– Use the machine in the daylight, wearing tough shoes and Iong trousers.
– Before starting work inspect the soil, removing stones, wires and any other foreign object.
– Keep your hands and feet away from the machine attachments.
– On slopes work transversely not uphill nor downhill. Stop the engine before Ieaving the machine or
adjusting implements or cables.
Do not turn on the engine without first checking:
– All screws and nuts are well tightened;
– The attachments engaging lever (fig.1 no. 3) is in idle position (in the fig. no. 2 the attachment is
engaged) the advancement control lever (fig. 1 no. 1) are in idle position (fg. 2);
– Air filter is clean (fg. 3);
– To fill in the tank use a tunnel with a very fine filter.
Attention: please use always the green petrol preservative.
– The attachments are properly fixed to the machine (fig. 4).
HOW TO START THE ENGINE
Push the gas control lever halfway (fig. 1 no. 2). Press the deadman handle (fig. 2). lf the engine is cold
operate the starter device on the carburetor (fig. 5- choke) grip the starting handle (fig. 6) and jerk strongly.
When the engine has started it is necessary to set the starting device back; then the gas lever slowly to
the minimum.
HOW TO START THE MACHINE
Keep the engine at a low rating; engage the implement by unhooking the lever no. 3 (fig. 1); accelerate
properly, unhook and leave the wheel engaging lever (fig. 1 no. 1); the machine will start moving. Pulling
the lever no. 1 (fig. 1) the machine stops. To Iock the Ievers, hook the lever clip (fig. 2).
END OF WORK
When work is ended, to stop the engine, please put the throttle in the stop position, or press the switch,
which is positioned on the engine.
