Check for gas leaks:
• Check hose and connections for leaks each time you reconnect a gas
bottle.
• Make sure that the knob on the burner insert control panel is set to
"Off" and slowly open the gas cylinder gas valve.
• Use soapy water, a mixture of half detergent and half water, to
prevent possible leaks
detect. Never use a lighter.
• If you notice a leak at one of the connections, close the gas cylinder
valve and tighten the leaking connection. Check for gas leaks again
when you reopen the gas cylinder.
• If there is a leak in the hose, replace it immediately. Never use any
Clifton product with a leaking hose.
• Then slowly open the cylinder valve again and check for leaks again.
If you smell gas:
• Close all controls directly on the chimney and on the gas bottle.
• Do not switch on electrical appliances.
• Do not use (mobile) telephone in the immediate vicinity of the Clifton.
• Try to solve the problem, see above "Check for gas leaks".
If this fails, contact an authorized gas fitter.
