Chasing in tiles and brickwork
(Figures 12, 13 and 14)
To do this, insert chase into the chuck (1)
as shown above. When using a flat
chase, set the mode selection knob (9) to
position (
) and turn the chase to set an
appropriate working angle. By turning to
position ( ) lock the set chase position.
Place the chase up against the material
to be processed. Switch on the machine
and start with a low hammer action,
increase the hammer action as required.
Do not use excess pressure on the
material to enable the chase to develop
its full force.
Hammer drilling in brickwork
(Figure 15)
Set the mode selection knob (9) to
hammer drilling (
lever (4) to the "Right" position. Start with
low revolutions. The required hammer
action for hammer drilling in stone is
generated by a pneumatic hammer. This
electro pneumatic principle creates a high
blow elasticity and ensures backlash free
operation. Unlike other types of hammer
drill, the drilling performance is not
dependant on the pressure. A greater
pressure, thus, does not increase the
performance!
When drilling large holes, use a small
diameter drill to make a pilot hole.
Drilling in wood and metal
(Figures 17, 18, 19 and 20)
Insert the supplied crown gear chuck
(11) for conventional wood and metal
drills into the chuck (1) as described in
the section on changing tools. Open the
chuck using the chuck key (12) and
insert a conventional wood or metal drill

bit. Tighten the chuck with the key.

Preset the revolutions with the
adjustment wheel (5): Set the selection
lever (4) to the "Right" position. Press
the on/off switch and drill using the set
highest revolutions.
CAUTION! All of the pictured
insert tools are not part of the
scope of delivery!
Screwing and removing screws
(Figure 17+21)
The crown gear chuck can also be
used, with a bit holder (not included), to
insert all types of screwdriver bit. To
screw screws into place, set the
selection lever (4) to the "Right"
position.
CAUTION! To achieve the best
transmission of force, always
use a bit that matches the relevant
screw head!
CAUTION! To ensure that you do
not damage the screw heads,
always start with low revolutions
increase as required!
CAUTION! All of the pictured
insert tools are not part of the
scope of delivery!
To remove screws, set the selection
lever (4) to left rotation.
Start with low revolutions to ensure that
you do not damage stuck screw heads.
Increase revolutions carefully as
required.
When in left rotation mode, the
maximum revolutions are lower
than in right rotation!
