MAINTENANCE
Scott Safety certified persons may only perform maintenance on the Duraflow PAPR.
Regular and scheduled maintenance is essential for safe use of the equipment.
As well as the pre-operational and storage checks, check the PAPR on a monthly
basis, and replace any defective parts. A qualified service and maintenance operator
must perform a service on an annual basis. Scott Safety has an approved network of
service centres for this purpose.
Replace filter gaskets on an annual basis or when they become worn or damaged.
Perform a regular monthly maintenance schedule in accordance with the pre-
operational checks that includes a thorough visual inspection of all components.
Perform a thorough inspection of all component parts before and after each use.
INSPECTION DETAILS
Record test and maintenance details on the inspection sheet provided at the back of
this manual.
Information recorded usually includes:
The name of the person that is responsible for the PAPR.
The make, model number, or identification mark of the PAPR, and a description of
any distinguishing features.
The date of inspection or maintenance with the name, signature or unique
identification mark of the examiner.
The condition of the PAPR, details of any defects found, and any remedial action
taken.

AFTER USE CARE
If the equipment may have become contaminated by hazardous substances during
use, the contaminant must be identified and properly removed or the contaminated
components must be replaced before next use.
Dispose of the contaminated components in accordance with local regulatory
requirements.
Inspect worn, or damaged components and replace where it is necessary.
