Instructions for use
Designed by Wiel Arets in 2008, this
electric espresso maker has been tested and
certified safe for use in the home.
It is made of 18/10 stainless steel. The
cover, handle, and base of the espresso
maker and the power supply base are made
of thermoplastic resin.
It can make 30 cl of coffee for six cups and
15 cl (with reduction filter) for three cups.
This espresso maker has a digital timer and
an automatic switch-off device with beep.

ATTENTION!
• Read and carefully follow
the instructions before using
the espresso maker. Store the
instructions in a safe place for
future reference.
• Check that all parts of the espresso
maker are in perfect condition.

• Dispose of the packaging in a
proper manner and keep the plastic
bags out of reach of children.
• Use this espresso maker only for
its intended use. Alessi will not be
liable for any damage caused by
improper use.
• Check that the voltage in your
electrical system matches the
voltage indicated on the bottom
of the espresso maker and/or on
the power supply base. Do not
use a voltage other than the one
indicated on the espresso maker.
• Do not use adapters or extension
cords that do not comply with
safety rules or that exceed current
capacity limits.
• Do not pull on the cable to remove
the plug from the socket.
• The espresso maker works ONLY
when connected to the electrical
system. NEVER use it on gas
burners, on cooking surfaces, or
near any source of heat.
• KEEP THE ESPRESSO
MAKER OUT OF REACH OF
CHILDREN.
• Keep inflammable materials away
from the espresso maker when it is
in operation.
• Do not immerse the boiler, the
power supply base, or the power
cable in water or in any other
liquid.
• DO NOT touch the espresso
maker when your hands are wet.
• Do not use the espresso maker in
bathrooms or near other sources of
water.
• Do not place the espresso maker
under running water.
• Just like any other electrical
appliance, the espresso maker
should not be used outdoors.
• Do not touch any hot metal parts
(such as the body) of the espresso
maker. Use the handle only.
• Protect your hands during use:
some parts of the espresso maker
become very hot. Always use a pot
holder to protect your hand.
• Remove the espresso maker from
the power supply base before filling
it with water for coffee.
• Keep the espresso maker away
from the edge of the work surface
to avoid risk of it being knocked
over.
• Do not use the espresso maker
without water in the boiler.
