Safety and protective devices

Defective and disabled safety and pro-
tective devices can lead to serious inju-
ry.

Have any defective safety and pro-
tective devices repaired.
■
Never disable safety and protective
devices.
Emergency stop
In an emergency, switch off the engine at the ON/
OFF switch.
Guard plate
Protects the operator from contact with the rotat-
ing blade or the cutting line and objects flying out.
"Bike" handle
Ensures that the feet of the operator do not get
into the vicinity of the rotating blade or the cutting
line.

chains and blades) and damaged cutting
tools (e.g. cracks, spalling) can result in
