Trouble Shooting
Remedy
1. Plug saw in.
2. Replace fuse or reset tripped circuit breaker.
3. Inspect cord for damage. If damaged, have cord
replaced by an Authorized SKILSAW Service
Center or Service Station.
4. Have switch replaced by an Authorized
SKILSAW Service Center.
5. Have switch replaced by an Authorized
SKILSAW Service Center.
6. Press down the lock-off button and hold it,
then depress the trigger switch to turn on the
carpentry chainsaw.
7. Release the trigger switch; remove the saw
chain and guide bar from the wood, then restart
the carpentry chainsaw.
8. Disconnect the saw from the power source, then
remove bar clamping plate and clean out debris.
1. Reinstall the saw chain, making sure that the
drive links on the chain are fully seated on the
sprocket; refer to "REPLACING THE BAR AND
CHAIN" Check for wear or damage on sprocket
and chain and change as needed.
1. Readjust the chain tension; refer to
"ADJUSTING THE CHAIN TENSION".
2. Sharpen the chain cutters; refer to "HOW TO
SHARPEN THE CUTTERS". OR replace the
saw chain.
3. Reinstall the saw chain; refer to "REPLACING
THE BAR AND CHAIN".
4. Replace the chain; refer to "REPLACING THE
BAR AND CHAIN".
5. Check the oil level. Refill the oil tank if
necessary.
6. Reinstall the saw chain refer to: "REPLACING
THE BAR AND CHAIN".
1. Re-tension the saw chain; see the section:
"ADJUSTING THE CHAIN TENSION".
2. Fill bar and chain lubricant.
3. Clear the debris in the groove.
