5.6 Power supply connection

Installation of the mains must be performed by qualified personnel.
Connect the equipment to the main power, checking that the power
voltage is as indicated on the machine's specification plate.
Install an emergency disconnect switch (3P+N three-phase 20Amp) to
cut power supply in case of malfunction.
This switch must be installed at a minimum distance of 10m from the
centrifuge (preferably outside the room where the centrifuge is). In some
installations it may be advisable to install a 3P + N and 40A differential
circuit breaker. This switch must be at a minimum distance of 10m
from the centrifuge (preferably outside the room where the centrifuge
is located).
Sections and colours of the connection cable:
Grey cable 6mm
Brown cable 6mm
Black cable 6mm
Blue cable 6mm
Yellow/green cable 6mm
It is supplied with a CETAC 16A 3P + N + T plug. Make sure that the
installation has a CETAC base of 16A 3P + N + T.
Do not use the equipment if it is not connected to earth. Make sure that
the rotation direction of the motor is counterclockwise.

6 Operation

6.1 General conditions during operation

Consider the following precautions for a safe use of the centrifuge.

6.1.1 General information

• Do not use the machine to centrifuge liquids capable of forming ex-
plosive, flammable mixtures, with hazardous products or materials that
chemically react with virulence.
• Do not move the centrifuge in operation.
• Never open manually the lid while the centrifuge is running.

6.1.2 Maximum density of liquids to be centrifuged

The maximum speed recorded on the rotor is calculated to centrifuge
fluids at a maximum density of 1.2gr/cm
To centrifuge liquids with a higher density than 1.2gr/cm
maximum speed must be reduced according to the following formula:
