When your CH3WNAS is detected, you can select it from the "Search Device" section.
The basic network configuration will be shown:
Settings section:
The "Host Name" is the name of the device which will be shown in your network
environment. The "Workgroup" is the workgroup the device is working in. You can
modify these settings to fit to your network settings and press "Modify" to save them.
LAN section:
The LAN section of the Easy Search Utility shows the current IP configuration of the
device. If you have an active DHCP server in your network (e.g. a router), the CH3WNAS
will automatically receive an IP address from the DHCP server.
You can keep the current settings, or modify them to fit your network settings and press
"Modify" to save them.
Note: You can change the configuration shown in the "Settings" and "LAN" field also
in the Web configuration wizard, described in chapter 4.3.
Static section:
The Static field shows the active shares on the CH3WNAS and allows you to easily mount
them to your computer.
Note: Configuration of the CH3WNAS is required before you can mount your shares.
Please continue to chapter 4.3 for the configuration of the CH3WNAS before you
mount any shares on your computer!
4.2 CH3WNAS Web configuration
You can enter the Web configuration of the CH3WNAS in 2 ways:
1) Clicking the "Connect to webpage" button on the Easy Search control panel.
2) Opening the web browser and entering the default IP address "192.168.0.30" in
the address bar and press [Enter].
If the Harddisk in the storage server is not formatted on the CH3WNAS before, the
device will prompt you to format the Harddisk:
