ERROR MEANING
MESSAGES
BATT z The battery is run down.
EMPTY
BLANK MD z Nothing is recorded.
Can't COPY z You tried to record from a copy prohibited MiniDisc. z Record using the analogue cable.
Can't EDIT z A track cannot be edited.
Can't z The disc data cannot be read because the disc or
READ (*) unit is damaged.
Can't REC z Recording cannot be performed correctly due to
vibration or shock.
Can't z Stamp function does not work.
STAMP
Can't z Cannot save the TOC information correctly to a
WRITE MiniDisc. (A large portion of the disc has been
damaged.)
DEFECT z The disc is scratched.
DISC z The disc is out of recording space.
FULL
Er-MD (**) z The microprocessor has reported a system fault
and the unit is out of order.
HOLD z The unit is in the hold mode.
LOCKED z You removed a MiniDisc whilst recording or editing. z Turn off the power and remove the MiniDisc.
NO DISC z A disc has not been loaded.

REMEDY
z Charge the rechargeable battery or replace the alkaline
battery (or use the AC adaptor for power).
z Replace the disc with a recorded disc.
z Change the stop position of the track and then edit it.
z Reload the disc.
z Replace it with another recorded disc.
z Re-record or replace it with another recordable disc.
z Check the number of tracks.
z Replace the disc with another recordable disc.
z If the sound you hear is not right, record again.
z Replace the disc with another recordable disc.
z Replace it with another recordable disc.
z To have it repaired, go to the distributor where you pur-
chased the unit.
z Cancel the hold mode.
z Load a disc.
